Default Ghanain Christmas

I have a couple of friends from Ghana (non-cookers - i.e. they still want their mothers to do the cooking - but posting food from Ghana isn't that good an idea, or no doubt they'd try). Does anyone know any Ghanain recipes? Especially for around Christmas time? I know that I could ask them, but I would like to have them for a meal and it to be a complete surprise. Failing specifically Ghanain, anything West African would do.

Give me a little time; I'll check what I've got and get back to you within a day. I know I've got general Ghanaian recipes, not sure if any are specific to Christmas. What I'll probably post will be names and/or descriptions of the dishes, rather than the full recipe. You can pick what sounds good, and then I'll post those. Fair enough?

BTW, how nice of you to do this for your friends, who are SO FAR from home!

Thank you so much Suzanne. Do you have a specific interest in West African and Caribbean food, or do you have a collection of recipes from all over the world?
