| would like to have your views on storing saffron for optimum flavor-also, how long will it remain useable? favorite recipes? |

| kda313 Saffron is sensitive to light and moisture. Be sure to store your saffron in a container away from sunlight. You might also be interested to know that Saffron absorbs other flavors and odors very easily. Make sure that the container you use is clean and odor-free. Hope that helps, Chef Joe ![]() |

| All the restaurants I've cooked in stored it in the walk in a tightly sealed container. I wonder what they do in Spain. |

| They actually have elaborately carved wooden saffron holders that can be very collectible. |
