What would you say is the most controversial topic in the food world today?

The government's food safety temperature guidelines because they have been almost universaly accepted and almost universaly ignored, but without any serious questioning of the underlying bio-physics.

I would have to say, "fat free" foods and if they are really free of fat, or "low in fat" as the label says. Consumers are tricked into buying these so-called "fat free" food products; They _think_ that they are losing weight but in reality they are still fat, and the only thing that has been removed from the regular potato chip is the flavor.
