Default Jams, pickles, chutneys

I started a thread earlier, but realised we all have different seasons for preserving. Anyhoo, it got me thinking tonight, cos i had a tub of strawberries in the fridge that needed eating and a wee tub of blueberries that no-ones gonna eat. So rather than throw them out, i made a jar of strawberry and blueberry jam. Totally scrummy

Got me thinking ( dangerous i no)

Does anyone have preserves, jams, chutneys they make out of wee bits they have that need using up?
i have a basic plan of weight for weight Fruit,veg/sugar. If in doubt of pectin levels for jam, i simply add a lemon.
Not sure about ratios for pickles and chutneys
