Default north african nomads- flour paste with water and oil

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

boy oh boy

when i was in grade school we watche d avideo of what i assume must have been north africans

i do not know if they were racially black or arab/semite

they dressed in robes with slits for eyes rode on camels and horses and ate on large beautiful rugs in desert oasis's

so romantic

i believe they ate a few things, maybe some dates

iremember they ate a paste of flour and water i beleive and they ate from a platye in the middle with fingers ad dipped the paste into oil

for some reason it looked like a cool dish.

anyone know what this was?

are they makig a soft dough of ucooked flour?

or is this like a savory soft indian prasad/parsad?
