I actually voted for the fourth option, just sit back and enjoy. However, if I had to choose another option it would be the truffles.
I have pretty much lived in the woods my whole life. I am orginally from the midwest, and every year around the middle of april Morels start popping up everywhere. My family always goes on walks through the woods together looking for them. Plus the added benfit of looking for Morels or Truffles, is that you feel so wealthy afterwards. I have found up to six pounds of Morels on one hunt, but I could only imagine finding Tuffles that I could use entirely for my own satisfaction.

Actually CC et al, I would prefer spending my time in the kitchen - to improve my technique - by preparing pate, tartes and bread. Perhaps some rabbit braised in Guinness beer would go well.

Heheh! We are a bunch of grapes with charecter! I voted for the truffle hunting because it is something different and it seems like it might be more of an experience.

I opted for the harvest of grapes....My ancestors are from France I don't know where but it would be an experience to be in a place where I could imagine my ancestors were.....nostalgia and a longing to know another homeland

Default Truffles- my type of fungi

I think hunting for truffles would be easy because at times I've been known to act like a pig.

Done them all but the truffles. So that's what I'd do as long as we can keep what we hunt. So how many can you actually find in a day?

Lightbulb The image of myself in my head

I have to admit, I was picking based on where I'd want to go. I have this picture in my my head of wearing a cream sweater and jeans, with my hair in a braid, walking along the sand. There would be rocks and grass and a house, but wait, I don't see any lobster... hmm... maybe I"ll have to rethink this.....

Well, I have to admit that I picked the one that seems the least work. Lobstering is HARD! Getting up in the middle of the night to get out on the water at first light, all cold and wet and hauling up heavy (one hopes) traps, in all kinds of weather, especially winter. (Sorry, Shimmer, it's nothing like you imagined ) And grape-picking is hard, too, reaching into the vines and cutting off stuff, out in the hot sun. No thanks, I'll take a tramp through the woods, chasing a dog (or even a pig) any day over those 2 activities. At least that's SOME exercise!
