 My MIL (although not at the time) decided to make a cake for my B'day. Of COURSE it was from a box - that's not the story. While eating a piece I bit down on a screw. She seemed relieved to have located the second of the two screws that fell out of her mixer. Her response - "Well, I found the other one in the batter."  |

| i kinda identify with this - grandmother of XG decided one day that we really would like quiche lorraine. Nice stylish type of dish. Unfortunately, quiche lorraine somehow must of been concocted out of a custard tart with some cheese and ham chunks thrown in for good measure. poor old dear, i know for a fact that she meant well and indeed tried well, but the fact remains, creme pat with ham and cheese?. |
