Default editing recipes for a food show

I just finished an incredibly busy couple monthes.....I had to edit recipes and describe in writing how to butterfly a flank steak...boy was that a stretch. Is there something you've tried to describe in writing that has been extremely difficult?

Lots.

  • Tool selection and machining order for CNC milling machines
  • Computer Chip design software
  • Optical correction lithography
  • Printed Circuit Board manufacturing safety procedures
  • Credit Card encryption schemes and check digit calculation
  • FPGA card design and programming

And more.

I've found it's even harder to describe something very simple to people who can't think in simple terms -- such as when I had to write a user manual for a Board of Higher Education (=college administrators) Labor Negotiations Costing Model. We had to idiot-proof the program so that absolutely nothing would happen if they didn't hit the right keys, and word the instructions in such a way that they wouldn't start to play "What If?"

I just finished my meat fab. class. Try the final, trying to describe step by step: denuding tenderloin, was pretty easy to do, but bone a primal leg of lamb. pork chops from a primal pork loin. Talking serious hand cramps!
