| OK so I have tried and tried but seem to have major problems when trying to remove the beard. This is the hardest task for me to complete and I must know is there anyway to go about this without killing myself in the process? |

| No quick fix for that issue. But,You can by Prince Edward Island mussels in 10 pound units that are de-beared and not at all expensive

| Yes, mussels are definitely available debearded and cleaned. I bought some retail last week. How do you cook them, mage? Last week I steamed them in white wine and anisette, and added them at the last minute to a Mediterranean-style fish stew -- wow, were they good! |

| When the beard is pulled they start to die, ths is why I will not buy the de bearded ones. I have no problems debearding them, pull down on the beard and the shell cuts and does all the work? I find it amazing that people will actually not do the work now a days and buy everything pre done??? Hogan
