The essay that can be found through the link below was sent to me by a friend, and I wanted to share it with my friends here. I don't yet have words to explain or introduce it to you, so I'll just quote what was in the e-mail I received:

Sometimes it seems to all be politics. It doesn't touch us, whether you consider it beneath, or above, or hidden. But occasionally someone does get touched by it.

This is not a political commentary article. It is about people and life and death, and how it touches everyone. It has no hidden meaning, it is not intended to sway opinions. It is a fact, of life, of death, of people.
