We made the national news. This fire is about 20-25 miles from our home. Beulah, Rye and Colorado City, the cities where the fire is burning, are all mountain towns just outside of my hometown. A lot of my friends have been evacuated and some have even lost their homes. The fire is up to 8,000 acres so far. We can see the smoke billows from our home. Yesterday the sky was orange and looked like it was burning. It's pretty scary. There has been so much smoke, there are days it looks like bombs were dropped out there. They have almost looked like mushroom clouds.
