Have you ever been to Croatia?

My wife and I were watching the travel channel and heard some amazing things about visiting Croatia and I was wondering if anyone has been? The travel show said it is Greece 20 years ago and it is still inexpensive because it is not on the Euro. If anyone has been there I would love to hear about your experience and what websites you used for research.
