Default Northwest is Shaking!

We just had an earthquake first reports say 6.2, centered south of Seattle. Hey North Westerners, it didn't do any damage where I am is everyone else ok?

The trembler was felt as far away as Salt Lake City. Didn't feel anything here in Denver.

It has been updated to 7.0 this is really big. They now say that 12 people have been treated for injuries, 2 serious.

Shucks, I meant to put my post about the earthquake in Late Night Cafe and instead posted it in Inside Scoop.

We certainly felt it up here in B.C. Canada. What a scare! Yikes! Glad to hear everyone is O.K. I guess that's the price for living in paradise.

Update from Danielle in Portland..
I was in school when it hit.
The pots and pans were shaking like mad.
I survived my first earthquake.
My goodness I went from being in the hurricanes to this.
Just bought a house today in Vancouver Washington.. Was it a mistake.
Hope all you guys are well.
Danielle

Hi guys, I followed my friend crudeau and posted a rather lengthy account of my day in Inside Scoop! All good here...and nothing like a little Gran Marnier after a quake hits to calm one's nerves ) !

Careful Deb,
Nothing like Grand Marnier to give you a big fat head ache too! (sugar content, I think)

Seriously though, I'm glad you're ok - glad your books didn't kill you!

Happy to hear that you are ok Deb!

Grand Marnier is great after an earthquake.

Hello all
We felt the quake up here in Southern B.C.
A gentle rattle up here .Nothing for us to be alarmed about. No damage here. Seattle and Olympia Washington took the brunt of it.Has anyone heard if this clould be due to some underground volcanic activity? They have said that Mount Baker is starting to show some signs of activity and we can expect some sizemic activity.Does anybody know if Mount Hood is a dormant volcano?I have heard that it is part of the same volcanic chain as Mount St.Helens
Shake rattle and roll
