OK, so I'm new here

I took quite a bit of time "lurking" and posted a couple of little "throw-away" items to test the water.

Been burned by TWO food boards and this is a real scary thing to try my third and final time.

I am a Cordon Bleu grad . . . owned 11 restaurants at one time . . . am now a construction manager (I build high rise buildings) but considering a venture back into food.

I have been a "personal live-in chef" and now am the only cook in my home (my wife is stuck after 'toast' -- while that is supposed to be funny it is actually true).

All that I ask is when my ego slips out-of-control someone simply mention it.

Thanks,

Tee

Dear T Alan:

Welcome to the Chef Talk Cafe!

We all started like you did. I was lurking around for about a month before I really joined this community. I hope you enjoy being part of the Chef Talk Cafe as much as I do.

I am looking forward to your postings!

T Alan,

Sorry to hear that you have had some trouble at other boards. Most will agree that ChefTalk is a very friendly place with mutual respect for everyone's opinions in regards to food and cooking. Please feel free to email me or any of the moderators with any questions you might have.

We are happy to have you hear, and I look forward to reading your input given your extensive background.

Hello Alan T and welcome to Cheftalk.

The only place you can get burned is in your own kitchen!

With your extensive background, please do post away. I do look forward to learning a thing or two from you!
