One year awhile back I bought a co-worker an Arab cookbook which had a recipe for madjoon (hashish candy) in it. Honey, spice, sesame seeds, marijuana, I think. For historical purposes only, of course.

That's an herb. I'm not sure if Hashish is a spice though>>>isn't that a throw back to the 60-70's?

I guess pot can be an herb and a spice, if it still has seeds in it.

Favorite herb---cilantro

Favorite spice--nutmeg (cardamon is beginning to take over that spot tho'.)

Least favorite herb--rosemary. I know I know. I have tried to like it...

Least favorite spice--anise. Again, Ive tried.

Im also a big fan of cumin. I need to use more than just in mex.

Not sure where it fits in all this. Is it a herb? it's a plante herbacée says the Larousse. Whatever it is, it smells great. I love the smell of lemongrass. So frangrant and a delicate smell.

Favourite spices: all spice, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg.

Hi Sisi,

Lemon grass is in thegramineae family and the species is cymbopogon citratus
It is an actual grass. And by all accounts is very good for you.My utility staff at works loves when I make them a ginger-lemon grass tea with a touch of honey. The tea also goes well with duck if I can't get lemon grass I have used lemon verbena in it's place, works pretty well
