I'll check with Danny Divito (unless the "fixture of the streets" has an agent?), but the real MDUB would be best. Actually, I'm thinking of having Anjelica Huston play me. Well, if she was shorter, looked like she enjoyed eating and could do a Bawlmer accent (hon). I was thinking of baking those special brownies rather than adding the magic mushrooms - what I'm going to be looking at in reality will be bad enough without enhancing what is already going to be a fairly surreal experience.

Yawn

I don't believe what a dunce I am! My daughter just reminded me that I knew John Waters way back when before he was semi-respectable. Would he be the perfect director for this epic or not?!?

You should store the truffles in a covered bucket and add a few eggs. The truffles perfume will go through the shell. After a few days the eggs will have the absorbed the truffles perfume. The scramble eggs will be even better.

Thumbs up

My daughter wants to volunteer at a restaurant that's feeding the needy that day, so I'll probably fix her an early breakfast (French toasted croissants, maple syrup and sausage). I found a smoked eel at the fish market, which will be our appetizer. I'll roast duck later for the evening, and serve it with cranberry chutney, creamed onions and garlic mashed potatoes, and hot rolls. For dessert we'll have chocolate chip pecan pie with a chocolate crust a la mode.

The asparagus are as thin as a skewer and are only slightly bitter,They are wonderful tender and just need to be warmed gently, as for the truffle butter I purchased a 1/4 # at work $1.800 a # White iltalian truffles after peeling I shaved it on rissoto and the peeling I used for the butter for a breakfast special of grilled brioche with truffle scrabled eggs with monchego grilled tomato and wilted spinach and stacked like a tower. This was for a vip privite function. Low and behold I had some butter left and decided to bring some home and do the scallop dish for T, Day

Thanks, cape chef - it was great, and I stand a little chastened. Everything went beautifully; my daughter-in-law did a fantastic job on her first official T-giving dinner! We kept Uncle Bob away from the hard liquor, and he did nothing that was magically delicious . Actually, we wound up having a lovely time talking about opera and found out that we're both huge (excuse the expression) Verdi fans. John Waters would have been extremely disappointed, although I'm thinking about doing a screenplay based on my horrific anticipations!

Did everyone else have a great Turkey Day? Hope so!
