Mad who let the dogs out?

does anyone know? all day I hear the question who let the dogs out and I cannot answer......woof..wooff..woof..............

Is music getting sillier or is it me?

What is your favorite silly song that you sing during service, prep or dining?

Being a baker I love:
McArther Park
You Decorated my Life

flying purple people eater.................

When I was working in prep, we use to sing "Working On the Chain Gang" or "Under the Boardwalk" I'd have the whole prep kitchen singing along.

i really dont like the dog song (perhaps it is a lack of talent thing) and the first person to sing it my kitchen will get a french rolling pin enema.

Nick, you are so right! I think that "Who Let the Dogs Out" is right up there with "you light up my life" and "I'm too sexy" in terms of irritation level. We went to a huge Halloween parade a couple of weeks ago, and I wish I had a nickel for every school sports team that had that song as background. I guess if it actually had a melody, all of the high school bands would have been playing it as well.

In the kitchen it's either NPR (hey, I've earned my geekdom), or whatever music suits the mood. Lots of Bob Marley lately, but Janis makes an occasional appearance as does Sonia Dada or Steeleye Span. And Bach. A little on the eclectic side?

No Smile

Depends on what I'm cooking...lately the Dixie Chicks were a good compliment but I've switched to classical. This time of year just calls for classical music....my favorite is anything my Mozart, like Bach too.

The busier the rush, the cheesier the song. Whenever the chef starts yelling for something from one cook, the rest of us like to start in on "Give it to me, baby! Uh-huh Uh-huh!" One of our lead cooks is a 250lb Samoan we like to call "Bear." The funny thing is he has this really high voice and he loves to sing "What a girl wants" when everything starts to get intense. It usually helps. When it doesn't help, he changes octaves and switches over to "I fell in to a burnin' ring of fire..." Music, like food, makes me smile.
