Post Cup of Joe, Battery Acid, Java

As you can guess, this post is about coffee. I was wondering what the average price is for a cup of coffee in the USA, I know at home the price can range from a quarter if you go to the seniors home, all the way up to about six bucks.

Six bucks for a cup of coffee? Wow! At that price it should be Jamaica Blue Mountain with free refills! Around here (NYC) you can getcoffee and a bagel for $1 or go to Star****s and pay up to $5.50 for a large cup of burned, cheap coffee. Sorry about the mispelling, but that company burns me up! They buy the cheapest, cast-off beans for pennies in underdeveloped countries, roast it until it falls apart (ever check a bag of their beans? 80% broken beans and chips!) and charge $10-15 dollars for a 12 ounce bag. Don't even get me started and their coffee-habitat protection policies!

Confused

Dont get me started on S******K's too!
I agree with all of you. I work in the Castro District in San Francisco, and it is the place for the boys to be seen
I am not impressed with the quality, or anything else about them, especially where they acquire their coffe beans!
So back to the original question ....
1.00 for a giant cup, including refills, from a great shop down the street from the above mentioned.

Hi, I am in Oregon just outside Portland, a Triple Latte' with flavor averages $3.00.
It's good to know I am not the only one annoyed by the Star****s quality, the first time I had a Latte' that's where I got it from, I almost didn't try it again.

So it's not just me who has issues with St****cks, my home town has 3 or 4 outlets and our population is less than one tenth of Vancouver's, and they rip everybody off left right and centre.

Here in Portland, OR (hi Joan) you can get inexpensive coffee everywhere.
At the hospital where I work it's free for everyone
