Default CEO panned rival in anonymous Web postings

I don't know Whole Food but know of it...

CEO panned rival in anonymous Web postings | Tech News on ZDNet

I guess forums are useful for business. I wonder if incognito celebrities lurk in this forum? (squinting eyes , turning head from side to side)

This was likely a relatively isolated incident.
In terms of exposure, at least.
Talk about out of the closet.

He was already under the moving bus before this detail ever emerged, I assure you.

All us hard working poor people get a case of Schaddenfrude from news like this.

The truth is very few CEO level people take internet fodder seriously. Besides, when they're aware of junk on the web, the marketing dept takes care of it (or tries to), unless one is evil...(but that's another discussion)

I'm not saying CEO's don't 'lurk' , because we all lurk at some point in our lives, some linger....(that too is another discussion) Jethro Tull's Aqualung starts playing now....

What's really an isolated event is the fact that a government agency is cogniscent of the postings, and is expressing its ire over them.

The fact is, given the anonimity of the web, in general, and the near impossibility of enforcement, neither the libel nor the copyright laws exist on any practical level.

Besides which, what laws has he broken? Maybe his ethics leave something to be desired. But then, too, anyone with the brains God gave a turnip pays little attention to anonymous, unsupported claims.
