Default Happy Turkey Day to all

Hope you all had a great day and delicious foods and great company. I took the day off, stayed in bed and watch some Gosh Awful TV and loved every minute of it.

The closest I got to eating turkey was when I had my breakfast! (eggs! lol)

I'm still waiting for the Electrician to finish up and I've got orders that are due on the first week of December and I don't think I can get my permits over night....I'm in a pickle, no scratch that, I'm in a pickle barrel.

Oh and I became the proud owner of 1/2 a pizzeria this week too!

I think that tonight I will find someplace to have a few of these...

Half a pizzeria!?!? Ron and I were looking at houses in Florida last night (after my Cajun turkey, greens w/ ham hock, cornbread, stuffing with yam topping). Are you going traditional pizza or something new?

Hi, where in Florida are you looking? With my baking background I'm thinking of doing fresh dough and purchasing a pizza press since neighter one of us can toss a pie..lol

I do tend to like my food a little on the "tasty" side so, I'm thinking of doing some "marinaded" crusts..you know, brushing them with yummy herbed oils and then adding the toppings...

I was also looking at the "grilled" pizza..

But of course the "LUNCH SPECIAL" will just be a 16" inch traditional pie for $8.00 which I've convinced my partner to offer between 11-2 on a daily basis.

I figured that with the low rent ($650.00 per month) if I start out with 12 pies a day ( regular priced ) and double that in 3 months and can get one of the school contracts that my pizza partner is trying to get, I just may have to close my bakery and just make my money with pizzas!

We are buying a fulling equiped ..( well it's missing 2 things..and the mixer is supposed to be returned...lol)

It's Downtown, right across from City Hall, and the Police dept and there are NO other pizzerias to compete, so if we can come up with a consistant, and inexpensive and yummy product I don't see that with a great deal of hard work, it can't turn a profit.

and later on adding sandwiches and pasta dishes.

cross your fingers!!

South, Keys if we could.... Homestead(?) We are open at this point -- just need to be near water. Need a pizza chef? Fingers and toes crossed but I am sure there is no need.... You'll be fabulous!
