Default xbox 360

I just bought an xbox 360 bundle. I have a lot ( over 20 ) old xbox games, but I can't seem to play them on my xbox 360. How do I get my old xbox games to play on the new 360? Secondly, does the xbox 360 play high definition dvds ( hd-dvds )?

Ok, first to play HD-DVD's you need the attachment, which costs $200. And which bundle did you buy? Some will not play old xbox games.

I bought the bundle that came with a 20gb harddrive. I figured out my problem. I had to make a data disk with some xbox upgrade and then stick it in the 360. Now I can play most old games.
