Default Patrick Swayze (of Roadhouse) has pancreatic cancer

As though it weren't enough that Jeff Healy (who was in one of my favorite movies Roadhouse) died recently, today's news says Patrick Swayze (also the star of Roadhouse) has pancreatic cancer.

The news article was upbeat saying that he had a minor form of it. Hope that is true.

Sucks. Cancer does not discriminate. Seems to me, over the last few years, I've had quite a few friends succumb to cancer. Pancreatic, colon, and Multiple Myeloma.

Thumbs up

Speaking of which, at least Chef Grant Achatz of Chicago's Alinea, has beat his disease. This is from Diner's Journal: Achatz Is Cancer Free - Diner’s Journal - Dining & Wine - New York Times Blog

Wow, that is incredibly sad. I love Patrick Swayze (mainly for Dirty Dancing, but Roadhouse wasn't bad)
