Default I'm Growing Very Tired of This Server

Three times today, I've completed posts and been told I couldn't post because I wasn't logged in, etc. I was, indeed, logged in. It's not my computer. It's a week old with a 2.6 chip and 3 GB of DDR2 memory. It's very frustrating.

The tech people are aware of the problem and are working to improve the situation. I'll see what I can find out, but I may not be able to post anything for a day or two, so please hang on!

Start clicking sponsored links so Nicko can generate more revenue to pay for the site and its upgrades. You can clse the site after it opens, but clickthroughs usually mean revenue for the hosting site.

I have to confess, I'm a bad user in that regard in that I have Firefox configured with Adblock and Noscript which probably lowers Nicko's overall views and therefore his revenues. I don't see many ads anywhere with those enabled. Pages load faster too.

We are in the process of upgrading the server and it is very costly (costly for us). It should be complete in a few weeks I just saving up for the expense (cheaper if you pay annually then if you pay monthly and the cost is in the thousands of dollars to do this).

If you are interested in helping out with the costs feel free to make a donation by sending it via PayPal to accountmanager@cheftalk.com

Last point, when logging in be sure to check the "Remember Me" box or you will have to log in multiple times.

I haven't had much problem, I guess because I have a fast cable connection.

One thing I have noticed, though, is that sometimes when I first sign on it takes a long time loading some type of "Google ad".

By the way I clicked on the link there, (accountmanager@cheftalk.com), and it opened my e-mail. What do I do to contribute? And is there a minimum contribution that will exceed the cost the site might pay for the transaction? I ask because I am unemployed at the moment and can't give a lot.

That's the account name for Paypal. Account names at Paypal are email addresses. Open Paypal in your brower and transfer some money to that account name.

Thank you phatch, and I hope my small contribution will help the site in some way.
