I love I-tunes. I spend a lot of time alone in my kitchen with my laptop at hand, developing, writing and editing recipes. I-tunes keeps me company and I love finding new, emerging musical artists to listen to while cooking.
I thought I'd share a few that I've been turned onto recently and see if any of you know of them, or might be interested in listening too.
Following are a few that have got me all charged up-
A friend of ours who writes for the LA Times got us all excited about Ryan Bingham. Country, but funky and edgey. Kind of reminds me of a really young, coarse Bob Dylan.
Here's his website and an link to Scott's article

Also heard these folks recently-wild stuff, kind of techno-klezmer-gypsy music. Fun to listen to when doing repetitive tasks.

Check out "Adir Adirim", "Cha-cha" and "Hermetico"
First heard this one-Holly Golightly-on the soundtrack for Jim Jarmusch's "Broken Flowers". My husband is nuts about her and listens to her all the time-me too.
Here's her Myspace page.

The music on her page isn't some of the best she's done, but listen to "My Love Is" and some others from "My First Holly Golightly Album".
Anyway, let me know what you think?
