Default If guitar players where wine.

Which would they be?

Clapton,A classic Bordeux (Marquex) I think,Racey,sweet,full bodied...almost a perfect finish.

Hendrix,A Cote Rotie....Deep,complicated,multi layered.

Andre Segovia,A classic Rioja,smoke,leather,grace

Any one want to play?

Pink Floyd - A Burgundian Pinot (complex & multi-layered with enough backbone to stand the years)

Nine Nich Nails - A NZ Sauv. Blanc (great but with enough acid to cut you to the bone)

Britteny Spears - Wh. Zin (sweet, yet no real substance)

Styx - An American Reisling (easy to pair with a a lot of foods (moods) and occasions) that's for you Jim

As Steve Vai is a student of Satriani, he ought to be a derivate or blend of Satriani's wine, perhaps a blush or rose lesser to Satriani. The student has not surpassed the master.

Eddie Van Halen, a notable wine past it's prime and turning to vinegar, though the vineyard still has a chance for great renewal.

When you move into blues, with BB King, I think you need to move away from wine into harder drinks. But King is still comparatively upbeat. Maybe a fortified wine? Robert Johnson, the father of blues? probably bourbon. Vaughn, I'm tempted by the wine cooler idea, as he was popular and is now fading away, though his ability and tunes are better than the cooler idea ever was.

George Thorogood, he's got to be something hard with a beer follow up.

Phil

Nicko,

Steve Vai is for sure a bottle of "Sreaming Eagle"it's rare and has a strong cult following + the name is perfect.

For BB King and his Guitar Lucille a classic Latour, maybe from the 61 vintage,it's so tasteful, deep in color and has a long history.

Steve Ray Vaughn is D'Yuem.so sweet, yet so complex.

You may need to get on there mailing list and hope for maybe a bottle of 2020 vintage. Very hard to get.also very expensive.

OK , we are missing one great guitar player !
Carlos Santana , I would envision him as as a young MD 20-20,
Or an aged Thunderbird from 2002 . Laughter is the best medicine . Doug...........................
