Wink Anderson Valley/ Mendocino Area

Hi all!
I am taking a vacation next week, and I am looking for some recommendations for wineries to visit. I will be spending one day in Anderson valley before heading up to Mendocino. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Isn't Roderer Estates (sp?) up there? I know that there is one Champagne (sparkling wine) house up in that area.

Thanks for the recomendations!
Yes, Roederer Estate is in A. valley, and that is a definate stop!
Fetzer has a tasting room right in Mendocino, so I will make a stop there. I do not know if I will have time to make it up to Fetzer vineyards, but, yes I heard the grounds are wonderful. I will let you know what vineyards I visited.
Being a sophmoric wine person , I have seen two references....wineries, and vineyards...what is the difference?

Michelle,

The wineries are where the wine is produced and bottled and the vinyards are where the grapes are grown and harvested
