Default Mollydooker - a killer winery

I'm brand new here so I want to start out on the right foot and introduce this forum to some of the best wines on the planet at reasonable prices. No, I am in no way affiliated with Mollydooker.

Almost two years ago I read a review on Mollydooker's "The Boxer" shiraz. For a $20 bottle, on paper, this shiraz sounded as if it could hold it's own against some of my expensive Barolos. In a two word phrase, it does.

Mollydooker is Aussie slang for left handed. The vintners, Sarah and Sparky Marquis are both mollydookers, thus the winery name.

I couldn't find any in Florida so I mail ordered a case and a half from an out of state retailer. Unfortunately, the shipping added about 50% to the pricetag. This year is different as I will explain.

The Boxer 2006 vintage was rated 95 by Robert Parker and he said "Best Value Wine in the World under $20." Believe it.

Once I had a taste of this heavy red, I started emailing the winery and bugged them about Florida availability. I must have not been the only one, because this year they opened up the ability to order distributor direct for U.S. citizens. Their service has been nothing less than terrific, and shipping costs are excellent.

I met Sarah and Sparky at a wine tasting here in Naples this past July. They are as great as their wines. I sampled them all and am totally hooked.

Apparently I'm too new here to post links so these addresses are the places to look:

mollydooker dot c

buymollydooker dot c

Again, I have nothing to gain financially from this post - just thought you "red" lovers would appreciate the information.
