2005 Bordeaux's, anyone buying these?

2005 Bordeaux's, anyone buying these?

My buddy who is an avid wine drinker says these are pretty good.

I picked up a case of assorted ones today, $15-$40 range, left and right bank.

I just drank a Chateau Coufman, from the left bank, although surprisingly its 85% merlot.

This is a pretty good sipping wine, and was ready to drink now, not too dry, very filtered with strong chocolate notes.

It isn't a really great wine compared to what I heard about the 2005's, but then again this was one of the cheaper ones I got.

Does anyone else have some feedback on the 2005 Bordeaux's?

I've tried a few in the $15 range and for the most part I felt they were very good. In the $15 price range they tend to be unknowns to me but at that price I don't mind taking a chance at finding something I may want to stock up on.

I tried a 2005 Chateu Olivier this past weekend. Grand Cru, about $15. A very respectable and drinkable bottle although a bit thin and less developed than what I had hoped for.

I like that Bordeaux offers a variety of wines under $25 it really allows you to experience a variety of different wines without breaking the budget.
