Default A beer museum!?

There is a grassroots organization here in Wisconsin (MIlwaukee more exactly) to get together a museum about the history of brewing beer in this country. I have recently gotten involved in it through a friend, who's father-in-law is one of the people spearheading this movement. So far, they have gotten quite a collection of brewing paraphenalia together, along with lots of great educational information about brewing. They have been traveling around to State and local fairs, Octoberfests, etc. for the last year and a half. They hope to have a facility sometime in the near future, in Milwaukee, to open up a full scale museum covering all aspects of brewing. They also have a great collection of some very expensive, one-of-a-kind steins. If you have have chance, check out thier website at www.brewingmuseum.org It does not have lots of information on it now, but hopefully it will grow as the organization does. It also has a way for you to become a founding member with many different levels of sponsorship to choose from.

Just thought you all would like to know!!

You mean there isn't one already? What a surprise, I mean after all there's a Mustard Museum. But it sounds like a great idea, and a perfect location! I'd certainly visit.

That was my first reaction also. I couldn't believe that there wasn't a museum devoted to beer and brewing already. Things are really going well for these guys right now. It is very possible that this could be a reality within 2 years if all goes well, or so I have been told. I have my fingers crossed!!
