| OK I know for the life of me this has came up before but I did a search and found nothing. Want to try some of this Deco bread. The question I have is will any regular bread dough work? I cannot remember but what is the difference between compressed and fast rise yeast? Thanks in advance... |

| CR, Are you talking about edible breads? A deco like the artisian breads. Or like bread sculpture, baskets, cornucopia. for display? OK, lets see. you can get yeast, cake/fresh, dry, active dry, and instant dry. I am not up on the store stuff, for I never have used it. I would assume it is like the dry. Some people prefer the active dry because it does alter the final flavor. We use the instant. SafT red. But we do not do a lot of yeast products.HTH pan |
