| Hi needing some help please. I'm trying to make a hot milk sponge cake. My tried and tested recipe. Always make it in a 8" tin, never any problems. I'm needing a bigger cake so doing it in 10" tin, I have increased recipe. When finished the cake has risen in the middle but not on the edges so once I have levelled it out it leaves me with a very thin cake. Any help would be great. Thanks ![]() |

| Maybe if you posted the recipe we could figure it out Sounds a little like your new pan isn't heating it evenly, but I'm not an expert. |
