| Two of them in fact! You can check the Cook's forum for background on this! 1st place Intermediate level Special Occasion Cakes, Hatbox 1st place Intermediate level Tiered Cakes, Thai inspired Buddhist thingieThis weekend was I N C R E D I B L E! I met a lot of professionals and saw some totally inspiring work! I pick up the pics this late afternoon! I was stunned and thrilled to win some blues, seeing as it was my first show. Very fun. Also, it was a shocker that they gave the winners reeeeal prizes, cake supply stuff, gift certificates, and engraved plates that say San Diego Cake Show, 1st place. Wow!!! Best of Show was Susan Carberry's incredible bakery scene, done all from fondant, and very detailed and cute! She teaches at Amy Malone's school of cake decorating www.amymalone.com and works at Black Forest Bakery in Dana Point, CA. Most creative and artist was Chris Russom's Story book, with a castle bursting out of the pages. Just incredible, with purple gumpaste morning glories...He charges 25 dollars a slice, and gets it! Let them eat Cake in Costa Mesa, CA is his shop. ![]()

| Congratulations Way to go, there's nothing like being recognized/rewarded for doing something you love. Please post pictures if you have them. By the way your blue sad face ploy was a good-one.[ March 13, 2001: Message edited by: Debin ] |

| BlueRibbon: Kinko's can scan a picture for you and they don't charge a lot to do it. Just a suggestion. |
