How long is it safe to keep fresh puff pastry in the freezer? I usually try to shoot for no longer than 5 weeks?

If wrapped in plastic and foil, undisturbed, I would say, 3 to 4 months is okay. Because it is frozen the butter will not spoil and the layers are preserved you will get a nice product. As always, fresh is best but frozen is fine. ------------------ Thank You, mb

Yes I agree with mbrown, it keeps for a pretty long time if you wrap it right.
