Arrow Question on creams/oil/fats....SoS

Hello! I am from Russia, but I live in the US. I am looking to buy what is in Russian called an “animal fat/lipid” (from sheep, cow, and/or pig). I was looking for days and I couldn’t find. It is semi-liquid, but it is oil from the animals for culinary purposes. It is also used to make the cream for the cakes. I am looking to purchase ~ approx. 10 lbs. Do you guys know the correct name for it or where I can purchase it? Please help the rookie! Thanks! Waiting for response)

Default Lard?

I am guessing that what you are looking for is not heavy whipping cream, but lard. Lard is the body fat from an animal, not the fat from the milk. Is this what you are looking for?

Wikipedia has a good article on tallow: Tallow - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lard is only from pigs. Some of it has "porky" flavor, some does not (leaf lard).

Rendered animal fat, to MY knowledge, is solid at room temperature. Saturated fat and all that.

If there's a liquid animal fat, I'd sure like to learn about it.

Hi,

We learned how to make cakes with liquid shortenin, but it was vegetable based.

It's called NUTEX and most wholesale companies don't even know what it is, but if you do an internet search you may be able to find the company that gets it wholesale and you may be able to buy some if this suits your needs.

It's sold in a large can , white carboard label with blue lettering.
