Default caramel & marshmallows

I would like to make those candies that are a layer of caramels w/ a layer of marshmallows covered w/ chocolate. Probably seems simple, but too much work to screw up, so question is this-

Caramel layer first, then marshmallow, or the other way around? I assume the caramels would melt the marshmallow, but would the marshmallow melt the caramel when they are poured on? I'd rather have them layered than have a marshmallow dipped in caramel like I've seen

Default

I'd grease your pan then add the caramel, let it cool then top with the marshmallow like you are talking about ,then you could cut and add your chocolate.

Default Oooohh...my favorite!

This is one of my favorite combinations! Don't have anything to add to the technique...but out of curiosity, milk or dark chocolate for the outside? My vote is dark...FWIW...

Cheers, and let us know how they turn out!

Micki
