Default Small wedding cake...

Thought you may like to see one of my wedding cakes.
I can't say ALL hand made as the ribbon, the satin leaves and the
flower stems, were purchased, every thing else is made by hand.
It is a traditional UK wedding cake, ie- fruit cake with almond icing and hand made Australian icing over top, flowers also made from Australian icing. qahtan

Qahtan a moderator will come along and help you with that extra post.

The cake is beautiful! How large is it? It looks like it's about 12-14 inches in diameter. I'm not familiar with Australian icing. How is it made?

Thank you for sharing this lovely cake.

Default Two posts....

Thanks,,,,

The cake is 10 inches at it's largest point.....
Australian icing is similar to rolled icing made by hand, with glucose, gelatine
icing sugar etc......
It is a bit of a so and so to make as one has to knead the sugar into a little liquid, it works eventually but takes a while. ;-)) qahtan
