| Thought you may like to see one of my wedding cakes. I can't say ALL hand made as the ribbon, the satin leaves and the flower stems, were purchased, every thing else is made by hand. It is a traditional UK wedding cake, ie- fruit cake with almond icing and hand made Australian icing over top, flowers also made from Australian icing. qahtan ![]() |

| Qahtan a moderator will come along and help you with that extra post. The cake is beautiful! How large is it? It looks like it's about 12-14 inches in diameter. I'm not familiar with Australian icing. How is it made? Thank you for sharing this lovely cake. Mezz

| Thanks,,,, The cake is 10 inches at it's largest point..... Australian icing is similar to rolled icing made by hand, with glucose, gelatine icing sugar etc...... It is a bit of a so and so to make as one has to knead the sugar into a little liquid, it works eventually but takes a while. ;-)) qahtan |
