Question Need basically storage advice I guess

I am making a babyshower cake for my sister in a few weeks and I am going to make some of the decorations from fondant and gum paste so my question is how long in advance can i make the decorations and how do i store them? I have everything else figured out but I cant seem to find anywhere that tells me how to or how long I can store them.
thanks a million in advance.

I keep my decorations in a cardboard box or kind of a tupperware, protected with lots of paper towels or foam.
I leave the lid slightly opened and also throw inside a little package of desicant silicagel.
They will be perfect for many months.
