Default looking for good baking and decorating books

Hello everyone,
I am thinking about working on my baking and decorating skills and am looking to eventually enter some competitions when I feel I am competent enough to do so.
I have thought of some deserts that I feel could be entered if I just had the honed skill to accomplish them. I am needing some opinions on what are the best cookbooks for pastry chefs. I am especially interested in the decorating books and could really use some advice in that area. I am a visual learner so a book full of text will not benefit me as well as one with photos on steps and techniques. I learn best from doing, but the visuals help me to absorb and comprehend the information better.
Are there any suggestions you could recommend?
Thanks,
Jeremy

When you say decorating, do you mean as in plate presentation or do mean things like cake decorating?
