I'd recommend not cutting the garlic. I read somewhere that when you cut it, there is some chemical reaction that takes place that takes away the garlic flavor. I haven't tried this, but I'd say keep them whole.
Great suggestions. I've never tried cooking one (and hadn't seen any recipes on how to). I guess I'll have to try it now.
Non-stick pans are fine to use. They will probably wear out eventually, but it all depends on how you take care of them like mentioned above. If the coating scratches or chips, it isn't anything to worry about. The pieces are too big...
