Ksdumid are great but i must suggest looking at the furi santoku as wel as the shun and global. I like furis, they are a lot like globals but they don't hurt my hand as much and they hold an edge longer (harder metal i think)

a friend of mine from philly keeps telling me to find beluga lentils. i've never been able to find them in portland. has anyone used them? he says they are above and beyond all other lentils. any opinions?
@ my boss put my whites in the freezer for the night. sad thing was i had to wear them anyway. different boss, same place had me move 1000 lbs worth of frozen stuff from one side of the walkin to the other because it was 'colder'
i know... gluten-free baking is super difficult, especially since most people with celiac sprue tend to have other food alergies as well. Celiac sprue is on the rise too... markovitch
