I'm a vegitarrien and one of the oddest things I ever ate was when my friend and I tried to make chocolate flovored tofu. Yes, we are crazy and It was very gross.
I'm so there. I love iron chef japanise and america looks intresting. i love how at the begining of japinise the guy takes a bite of the yellow pepper!
You could try a search engine, like vivisiomo or google. I like vivisiomo because it groups your results.
I'm not sure how you would fix it, but maybe your mother-in-law could visit or even talk to you on the phone to help you fix it. Or, if she's not availible, try talking to someone else who knows how. And, try tasting the rice before...

When I make custard I 'whip' it with a wisk the whole time instead of just stirring. But be warned, it's tiring. Also, I put it in a dish of cool water and maine never curtles. good luck. Basil :chef:

half milk, half cream, and suzane, how can anyone use percents of butterfats and stuff like that? I'm just wondering....
I agree with both of them. You just can't mess with alfredo sauce!
