What i always do in the kitchen is wear a butchers apron and have a dry towel on the left side and tongs on the right side.   So i can pick up hot stuff with the tongs out of the oven etc. and wipe the plate with my dry towel.. believe me it works wonders.
Hey guys just found this forum and had to register. Started out in kitchens when i was 16 became a chef when i was 17 and still a chef to this day.   Worked my way up to chef de partie hopefully make sous chef in a few years time.
