Thanky! we did some chicken the other day, and it tasted like gyro, totally unintentional! And the flavor that reminded me of a gyro was OREGANO, a lot! Could that be the secret?
I've sampled something very similar, and it was delicious! Basically what you use, plus apples and onions.
