me any advice on how to start off working as a Trainee Chef or Commis Chef. I
do have experience in kitchens but in Corporate Catering. I have a National
Senior Certificate in Foodservices as well as a Hotel Operations Management
Diploma.

it will be best for me to do a Chefs course.

Call Le Cordon Bleu in London (they have a website). It is all but impossible to get a work permit in Britain, but you might swing a temp. IF you are a registered student -- ask for restrictions on employment in general. But, you might be able to "trail" (work for free) and consider it an educational experience; though there are union, health department, immigration (versus tourist) visa issues as well.

Good luck.

No Smile

Dear Danbo

Thank you for replying to my e-mail.

I will try and contact Le Cordon Bleu once I get there. Is it a Cullinary school?

You see I do have a bit of experience of working in kitchens, enough at least to get me into Commis Chef position, I think.

Thank you again for the advice.

Yours sincerely
