Does anybody use or have a definitive guide for pairing wine with food? Has anybody gone through a 'pro-oriented' wine class? Lately my client has put on some demands for well suited wines for food and I find myself recommending the same pours, over and over. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, as always.

Don't know if this will help but I read a book called "The WINE book" by Dorozynski, Bell. This one tells alot about the different regions where the wine is made but help me learn what food can go with what wine. Another thing I have done is ask my liqour proveyor for any suggestions or info they might have. Usually they are most helpful and have a person or two on staff to help with stuf like this. The last suggestion is to go to a local winery, if any are available, or go to a winr tasting. When I lived in VA my wife and I would go to the local wine festival and ask all sorts of questions, I still get info for the winerys about new wine and blends they have coming in the new season. Hope this can help.

Tiss, Thanks. I do, already, involve my liquor purveyors... and they are a great resource. I just want to have a little autonomy and not rely on those guys so much. I will check around for the book. Thanks for the input!
