Thumbs down Ban of French ingredients in the UK

This morning, after my cup of coffee and croissant,I decide to read some Good old English newspaper,The first page was this Chef from Somerset Explaining that the Brits has decided to ban all the French Products in The UK Like Coulis, dried Mushroom,Wine ,Flour.....etc.Because the french don't want to buy English meat cause.as you all know, ther is a bug (mad cow desease)I think it is sad from both side.English chef cooked with French Meat and Vegetables cause of Better quality. What's wrong with Europe?

Cool

well yes i agree its the eec which has screwed up!!!!! our beef got the all clear yet they are telling us that the french farmers are feeding animals banned hormones and antibiotics and sewage fom septic tanks so as the french and many other eec members wont sell are meat what are we to do!!!!!!! we shouldnt of screw about with the food chain but its to late and as a chef from the u.k.i understand and respect the people who want to ban french products, if they do not want to buy wine and see dishes etc in hotels, etc then we have to respect the customers choice.its going to be hard as cuinlary french is a part of catering culture, and there is other facters like are farmers who are beening screwed, prices are rock bottom to these guys,we joined the eec to help each other out bet let we dont we are the only ones who seem to do what the eec wants let other members dont, well thats my soap box time!!!!!!!!!,i hope our u.s brothers are checking this out, iam not sounding off to my french friend!!respect is due to our french brothers i hope it can be sorted???
