Talking RAW

Hey! Has anyone ever been to a Raw Foods restaurant or know a raw foods chef. I just read about it at a site listed rawfoods.com. Interesting.

Cool

I think it is a fad that will die a quick death. Knew of one place in Atlanta that was doing the raw thing, but they only lasted about 1 1/2 yrs. Heard of this guy in California who is doing it. He thinks he's pretty hot stuff, like he reinvented the wheel or something. Read an interview with him and the guy is way too into himself. I like raw foods in context, but doing a whole raw menu sounds really lame to me (opinionated aren't I).

Cool

Is this the guy who was on Regis and Kathy Lee? He was sort of freak and had some weird dishes. I don't think it will catch on but it was funny watching him

Thumbs down

there's a place here in chicago... It's not for me! Raw has it's place on the table for me... Everything raw is a little overkill.

chefscooter sushi is not considered truly raw food since the rice is cooked.

Wink

I fish are concerened let them be RAW. At least for me.
If the fishkalah is fresh why cook it. You can make Sabicha, Sashimi, Carpaccio, Tartar. You can curem', salte'm pickele'm or just invent a new way to eate'm.
But a whole resaurant of RAW food?! Well at least he'll save on gas.
