Anyone know if we can get these on the mainland?

Depends on where you're at. I used to make mash with caramelized onion sand coconut milk. plus the butter and cream. I have a tough time getting them in Thailand.

How do these compare with other varieties (Jewels, Garnets, Jerseys)?

I remember getting them from Dominic Testa in Chicago a couple of years ago. If you really have trouble, let me know, I have somebody's business card [somewhere] that wholesales 'em out of Cali or Hawaii.

Great flavor, a little higher in sugars, don't burn 'em.
