| Our good friend here at ChefTalk, Chef Mike (Cheffy) lost his father the other day. He's going through the grieving process right now, and thought I'd share this with everyone. He could use some lifting right now...... Keep your head up, Bud! You know how to find me..... Eric http://www.restaurantedge.com |

| Mike, Having lost both of my parents all I can say is that it does not get any easier as time passes, but you do get used to dealing with it. Don't let others tell you how to grieve, it is a very personal thing and you have to do what ever feels right. Thoughts and prayers with you and youf family. | Cheffy, I offer my condolences. I lost my father in November. Going to the funeral and speaking and hearing others speak and talking to the people that attended I got to see my father as other people saw him and that was tremendously uplifting. I hope it goes the same for you. Hang in there.

| Chef Bob is absolutely right. There is no "proper" way to grieve. You do whatever is necessary to help you through this. I'm very sorry for your loss. And I'm afraid I'm not too far away from sharing your pain. My father is elderly and suffering from emphysema. It's just a matter of time. Hang in there. Your friends at Cheftalk are thinking of you. Mark
