Default Cooking Class with Chef Joe Poon

Dear friends:

I teach cooking classes for a major supermarket chain in NJ. Currently our culinary program is sponsoring A Chinese cooking class at selected stores with Chef Joe Poon from Philadelphia. Fortunately, my store was one of the sites.

This past Tuesday evening I had the honor and pleasure of working side by side with Chef Poon as I assisted him with the class.

I don't know if you guys know him but he is relatively famous. He has been on a number of TV shows, has an award winning walking tour of Philly's Chinatown, and has done extensive philanthropic work.

The man is an awesome person and an outstanding chef! He taught me things I never learned in cooking school. It was a night I'll never forget.

Here's his website: http://www.josephpoon.com/

Mark

I was visiting some friends at La Salle University in North Philly a few months ago, and he just happened to be giving a knife demo there that day. He was giving out copies of his new book, and while I have yet to try anything in it, I'm very much looking forward to doing so. A great Chef all around, plus a nice guy.
